Both Lisa and Matt are licensed to serve in any of the below positions. Although named singly in legal documents, Lisa and Matt often work as a team on each of their respective clients, as together they bring a collective professional and education expertise, and personal skill set greater than each individually. Many clients choose to list either Matt or Lisa as first fiduciary in legal documents, with the other listed as successor fiduciary.

Trust Services

Lisa and Matthew both hold post-baccalaureate certificates in Professional Fiduciary Management for Trustees from California State University Fullerton, and serve as trustee under all types of trusts, including but not limited to revocable and irrevocable living trusts and/or related sub-trusts; testamentary trusts; bypass and disclaimer trusts; special needs trusts; spend-thrift trusts; and charitable trusts. Lisa has an educational and professional background in accounting and business, while Matt has a strong background in finance and business, for a skill set necessary to successfully execute the duties of trustee.

Agent for Finance and/or Health Care

Lisa and Matt garner immense personal gratification in serving as a safe-guard and advocate for those who may need assistance managing their financial and/or medical affairs.

Our Agent for Finance services, under a Power of Attorney for Finance document, range from mail management, bill payment services, and bank account monitoring, to oversight of more complex or involved assets, such as investment portfolios, family residences, rental properties, and business interests. Asset management services are personalized to the needs of the client, can be tailored over time as needed, and are designed to result in professional oversight for clients, and peace of mind for clients’ families.

Agent for Health Care services, under a Power of Attorney for Health Care document (aka Advance Health Care Directive) include scheduling of and accompaniment to medical appointments, arranging transportation, serving as a liaison between various medical providers, serving as medical decision-makers for clients who are incapacitated, and providing strong advocacy for clients in the often intimidating, impersonal, and disjointed health care industry.

Estate Services

Lisa and Matt also serve as the personal representative of a decedent’s estate when named as executor in a “pour-over” will accompanying a living trust. Please note that specific provisions are required in the Wills in which Lisa or Matt agree to be named—please inquire, or have your drafting attorney inquire, for more information.
