Both Lisa and Matt are licensed to serve in any of the below positions. Although named singly in legal documents, Lisa and Matt often work as a team on each of their respective clients, as together they bring a collective professional and education expertise,, and personal skill set greater than each individually. Many clients choose to list either Matt or Lisa as first fiduciary in legal documents, with the other listed as successor fiduciary.

Trust Services

Lisa and Matt both hold post-baccalaureate certificates in Professional Fiduciary Management for Trustees from California State University Fullerton, and serve independently as trustee, successor trustee, and trust protector on all types of trusts, including but not limited to revocable and irrevocable living trusts and/or related sub-trusts; testamentary trusts; bypass and disclaimer trusts; special needs trusts; spend-thrift trusts; and charitable trusts. Lisa and Matt utilize their collective educational backgrounds in fiduciary management and business, as well as their respective professional experience in accounting, finance, tax, and risk management, to provide professional trust services to grantors and beneficiaries.

Estate Services

Lisa and Matt serve as the personal representative of a decedent’s estate, whether named as the executor in a will, or as the administrator via court appointment.

Agent for Finance and/or Healthcare

Lisa and Matt garner immense personal gratification in serving as a safe-guard and advocate for those who may need assistance managing their financial and/or medical affairs.

Asset management services range from bill payment services and bank account monitoring, to oversight of all assets as agent for financial management, which might include investment portfolios, family residences, rental properties, timberland, ranchland, and business interests. Asset management services are personalized to the needs of the client, can be tailored over time as needed, and are designed to result in professional oversight for clients, and peace of mind for clients’ families and beneficiaries.

Agent for healthcare services include scheduling of and, if needed, accompaniment to medical appointments, arranging transportation, serving as a liaison between various medical providers, and advocating for clients in the often intimidating, impersonal, and disjointed healthcare industry.

Fees

Hansen & Pereira bills exclusively by the hour. The current hourly rates for senior licensed fiduciaries range from $155–$325 and are dependent upon the task being performed. The hourly rates for staff range from $75.00–$165.00 and are dependent upon skill level and experience of the staff member performing the task. Detailed fee schedules are included in introductory packets provided during initial consultation meetings with prospective clients.
